I watched the wind blow through the trees as she screamed in the background.
I heard the wind howl as he struck her in the head.
I watched the trees sway back and forth as he dragged her body across the living room floor.
He watched as I mopped up the blood.
He watched when I started shaving her head.
He watched as I plugged in the electric saw.....
WE watched television as we ate dinner....
SHE watched the wind blow through the trees from the cutting board...
I have a very special recipe I would LOVE for you to try....
Won't you come over?
Become a part of my pie???

-excerpt from "Faithful"
The next day Wendy awoke to thunder. It was raining terribly and she had to drive a long way to work. Just as she hit Dead Man's Curve, an SUV came speeding up behind her. The brights were on and Wendy tried to wave it around her.
That's when it rammed her. Her Camry fishtailed and grabbed the wheel. The SUV rammed her again. She screamed, put her foot on the gas and sped off. Seconds later, it was at her side and began pushing her off the road. The small car didn't stand a chance. It hit the guardrail then flipped over where the guardrail ended. She came to a stop upside down at the bottom of Graham Forge.
Three hours later, a passerby saw the wreck and dialed 911. The paramedics found Wendy inside unconscious, still strapped inside her seat. They pulled her out and checked for a pulse. A few minutes later, Kiel arrived.
He immediately recognized the car. He ran to the stretcher praying Wendy was alright. Wendy had on an oxygen mask but was still unresponsive. A paramedic told him Wendy had suffered a blow to the head and needed to get to the hospital...

-Excerpt from "Faithful"
"Don't you think it's odd that all the abducted children attended your church?"
"Yes, but what can I do? Do you want me to turn these people away at such a tragic time in their lives? I will not let someone else control my church." Zell stated matter-of-factly.
"How do you comfort them after such a loss? You are often at the scene before I am."
"I remind them that this is as close to a perfect town as one can get and therefore their child's disappearance must be in God's plan."
Kiel looked up from his notepad and stared at Zell. He thought to himself that statement was particularly harsh and cold, especially coming from a religious man. Zell didn't seem to notice Kiel's expression; he simply smiled and offered Kiel a refill of his lemonade.
Kiel, feeling uneasy, thanked Zell for his time and excused himself. Once outside, he inhaled a chest full of clean air, and then looked back at the church.
"Strange old coot," Kiel said as he walked back to his car.
There was a message waiting for Kiel when he arrived home. After pouring himself a double shot of vodka and letting Wolf in, he walked over to his answering machine and listened.
"Chief Kiel, you have to stop him. He's killing our children. He'll kill more. Time is running out."
Click. Silence.
Kiel stood there stunned...........

Macho Man Randy Savage
Hello Everybody,
If you haven't heard, Macho Man Randy Savage died today of a heart attack in a car crash. I know this whole blog is supposed to be about horror movies, but Randy Savage was a part of my youth. I remember watching him, Hulk Hogan, Rick Flair, and the Junkyard Dog wrestle it out every Saturday.
After the Slim Jim ads became old news, we didn't see much of him. He didn't get caught up in the reality show craziness. He didn't have a mental breakdown, or become an addict. He was a class act. I loved the character and bless him for having the tenacity to keep coming back match after match.
He recently remarried and I know his wife will surely miss him.
To other fans out there, we will all grieve, but we should celebrate his life as well.
P.S.
(For the "overly" loyal fans, please don't kill yourselves trying to imitate his signature moves this weekend then place them on YouTube)
